Have Paper - Will File

I’ve been holding off on starting a Group Buy forum because I’m not sure there are enough people yet for it to work, but perhaps having it out here as an option will be one more reason to join up or at least stop by regularly.

It seems that a lot of GBs on other forums fail to generate enough participation to get significant benefits, while others are very successful.  There are probably relatively few items that a lot of us need to buy at the same time, so this may not be used very often, but with new racers coming into the class all the time there may be enough to organize the occasional group purchase.

So what the heck, here it is.  Feel free to post GB ideas to gauge interest in any product you are looking to purchase, be it something like setup scales and shop tools or parts like wheels or an exhaust system. I bought our Dash 2 units in a group buy and saved quite a lot of money.  Even machine shop work could get volume discounts. For example, I own deck and head plates for the 1.6 and the shop I use could setup to do multiple blocks and/or heads at once, saving everyone a little cash. Not sure shipping blocks and cranks makes sense, but you get the idea.

Vendors are welcome to post volume discount offers, whether for a special purchase by you or to unload excess stock.  Throw it out there and see how people respond.

This is all just one big experiment because things that work other places may not work here, and vise-versa.  But when in doubt, give it a shot!
